To mark the 150th anniversary of the world’s oldest exploration society of the Levant, the Palestine Exploration Fund (PEF) a two-day international conference hosted by the University of Haifa and organised by Drs. David Gurevich and Anat Kidron. A major focus of this commemorative event was a retrospective appraisal of the endeavours of pioneering archaeologists - Charles Warren, Claude Conder, W.M. Flinders Petrie, R A.Stewart Macalister and others, in the light of contemporary research. The AIAS is pleased to host a book launch for the volume of the collected articles relating to the conference.
